Atal tinkering lab(ATL) is a program run by Atal innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog to foster curiosity and innovative mindset in young students across India to encourage research and innovation in schools across the country. The vision of the initiative is to create one million children in India as Neoteric innovators.Under the umbrella of AIM,the students will not only gain theoretical, but also practical and application based knowledge of STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering and Math) and space education related concepts, such as Electronics, physics, optics, space technology, material science and many more.
Information and Communication Technology(ICT) an umbrella term that includes any communication device, cell phones, computer and network hardware, satellite systems as well as the various services and appliances with them such as video conferencing and digital learning. The ICT Lab in our school consists of 10 Branded high configuration computer systems with preloaded application for teaching learning process. The ICT Lab has facility of Smart Board, Visual Presenter, Projector and has seating capacity for more than 50 students. The lab is used to teach students of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class students.
Our school has a high tech smart classroom that enhances the teaching and learning process for both the teachers and the students by inculcating audio, video, animations, images, multimedia etc., by using the various digital tools like computer system, visual presenter, smart board, Projector, pleasant sound system for virtual classes.
The Department of Computer Science has well qualified and dedicated staff members headed by Senior Lecturer Mr. Mohammad Ayoub Khan to teach various subjects in the area of computer sciences. The subjects taught are:

2. Information Practices.
3. IT-ITES
4. Telecommunication
The development in the last three decades in technology led to the evolution of many technologies like the Internet of Things, which revolutionized many areas and applications that appeared in several fields, in this concern our school has well established smart computer lab with 20 high configured computer systems connected to a common hub feasible for online objective and well as descriptive exams or to share resources in the lab. The computer lab also consists of podium, smart board, visual presenter for attending or delivering online classes
The Vocational Education is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme funded by MHRD, under the umbrella of Samagra (formerly RMSA). The Scheme of Vocationalisation of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been started with effect from 1st April, 2013, and Our Institution “Govt. Boys Model Higher Secondary School Anantnag” has been brought under this banner from the academic session 2017.

Aims and Objectives
In concurrence with recommendations of various Education Commissions, Committees, National Policy on cation (1986), Programme Of Action (1992) and the requirements of the prevailing national and international nario, the major aim of the scheme is to prepare educated, employable and competitive human resource for rious sectors of the economy and the global market.
Accordingly, the specific objectives of the scheme are to enhance the employability of youth through competency based modular vocational courses, to maintain their competitiveness through provisions of multi-entry multi-exit learning opportunities and vertical mobility/interchangeability in qualifications, to fill the gap between educated and employable and to decrease the pressure on academic higher education.
An important determinant of a good educational institution is the presence of a well stocked library.Our institution has a rich library housing thousand of books for instilling and inculcating good reading habits among our students. The library is having comfortable and tranquil reading space for the readers.
